SHE CHARMED ME..........

She has a little pout going on...................

Probably because she had to get her hair curled
within an inch of her life, and put that checkered dress on.
I bet she hated getting dressed up and having her picture taken.

This was fun to make because most
of the "charms" were gifts
from friends.

Besides the coins I included a crucifix from Lourdes ,
religious medals, watch fob, vintage bits of chain,
old steel cut links, rosary beads, Baltic amber,
and of course the old tintype of "Smiley".

  1. She is "charming" made even more precious by the love each gift holds.
P.S. Mayhaps her pearl choker is a wee bit too tight...that or her corset...or those curls!

  2. "She" doesn't appear too thrilled, does she? What a beautiful creation you've assembled!

  3. HaHaHa! What a delight she must have been that day! You come up with the best stuff made from things most would never look at twice. I LOVE it! When are you going to start selling these things? Don't tell me you make them and then just let them sit around...

  4. beautiful!
in all the ways you want to be beatified.
    soulfully so!

  5. Poor little mite! I bet she'd be thrilled to know she'd be put to good use years later. Seriously stunning piece of jewellery, I love it! x

  6. Ewwwww, a dress, them checkers is itchy...girl this is wonderful, love the addition of the tin type and the amber, I'm a sucker for amber!!!

  7. This is a great posting I have read. I like your article.

  8. Oh I love this Gayle!!! Everything goes together so good...I love how you used the tintype!!! and the coins...everything...Fantastic job!!! very inspiring too...:)

  9. This is pretty cool, to say the least. It must have been fun to put together.
