"One Man Gathers What Another Man Spills" Jerry Garcia
Those are just amazing photos, early colour has such a magical effect
Thank you for sharing these wonderful photos - and for the link to more. I have always loved Native American artifacts and treasure my own modest collection.
How impressive! These are beautiful photos. I didn't think the tee pee made it into the 1900's.
These are beautiful. It reminds me of when my kids were young...and we took many field trips to Jamestown, VA as part of our home school. The 'homes' were quite different...but we would go back to our house and practice making Indian Teepees ... for the whole year.
Gayle, Those are awesome and beautiful. They knew everything. Who were the savages? Bill's dream is to one day have his own teepee.
WOWWW! Awesome! Thanks for sharing! :)))
So peacefull, what happened, why would anyone want to disturb such belonging to the land...so many travesties to the indigenous, such beauty...:)
These are so gorgeous!!! That last one is amazing....and I am partial to the one with the buffalo on it...I have always wanted to stay in one...it is going on the bucket lkist...I need to experience it at least once... Gorgeous photos...I am going to grab a couple of them for my craft room...:)Thanks Gayle!! :) Have a great week...
at night....where the smoke billowing from the tepeesfeels like deep giant breaths releasing into the impossibly holy night. ecstasy.(i understand why you are torn on the secret life of birds. perhaps the ponds in my life are just far enough away to be a walk on the wild side...now if the ponds were here under my care and the fish were fish i feed and watched grow oh how different that would be!)
Such beautiful homes they are...the photographs are stunning, especially in the light haze of the smokey fires.
Oh I so wish I had one!! it would fit perfectly next to my vardo.. if I had one..beautiful photos Gayle!!
